Technical Solution Architect

The Technical Solution Architect is an expert with wired and wireless networking concepts and equipment. The Technical Solution Architect works hands on with Datavalet products and technology in the design, configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of the Datavalet solution. The job responsibilities consist of both in office research, design and documentation tasks.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Act as a technical point of contact for DV new clients
  • Provide customers with technical information and guidance during / after the installation and before the handoff to Support

Responsible to:

  • Create new Network designs
  • Improve current Network designs
  • Create Scope of Work to 3rd party installers who will conduct:
    • Site surveys
    • New installations
  • Support 3rd Party Installers during installations to ensure the Scope of Work have been followed and completed
  • Create Technical Documentation
    • Follow up with 3rd party installer to ensure on time delivery of accurate documentation deliverables
    • All work performed and any configuration changes must be recorded by the Network Solution Consultant in the Technical documentation
    • Review Tech Doc updates with other Network Specialists, Senior Network Solution Consultant and Operation manager
  • Submit to Senior Network Solution Consultant for approval
  • Submit to Support team for approval
  • Build Labs for testing equipment, designs, deployment plans and backend
  • Certifies DV new products, services and features
    • Follow DV Product Certification template to test all features and compatibility issues related to the new products and
  • Research new technologies:
    • New wireless equipment models
    • New technology trends and experimentation
    • New methodologies of conducting wired and wireless site surveys


  • Proven hands-on network design, analysis and deployment of wireless networks
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (ex. IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) (Wired and Wireless)
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
  • Aruba and Cisco knowledge is a plus
    • Cisco CCNA (wired and wireless) or higher
    • Aruba ACMA or higher
  • University degree in Computer Science/engineering or a related subject
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in networking
